Endformer with vertical clamping for large diameter tubes
Complex processes are no problem for Heavy series endforming machines with vertical clamping. The line guarantees high quality standards and precision, and ensures high production levels. These large machines can complete up to six steps during the cycle, with precise movements of the two CNC axes. The machine is managed by the CNC Siemens 840D sl: very high performance numerical control technology. These compact endforming machines were designed for easier operation and tool changes, and to take up less physical space, which is remarkable for a machine large enough to process large diameters.
Description
The S2166HF is a patented hydroforming machine with versatility and compactness. Its ergonomic design enables rapid tool change a scale benefit beyond the traditional hydroforming machines. The clamp unit was designed for complex hydroforming on short and medium-long tubes outfitted with large-sized tools. With an optimum configuration, the S2166HF can combine hydroforming and traditional end forming in a single cycle, integrating punches, rotating tools, and rolling heads with various drives, i.e. hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, or mechanical. The flexible movement of the injectors facilitates not only the operator’s work, but also the integration of automatic/semi-automatic systems for loading and unloading the tubes. The S2166HF is designed to readily integrate into the Smart Factory production system.
