Power and precision for high intensity bending processes
Tube bending machines from the Heavy series stand out for their rigidity and precision, which ensure high level performance and maximum repeatability in heavy processes. The small dimensions of the bending heads and, in particular, the movements that these machines make, allow them to process complex tube geometries in a single cycle. Normally, finished pieces would require a double bending direction or post-processing operations. Description
The 114HE is a CNC tube bending machine for mild steel tubes steel with a diameter of up to 114mm. Like other machines from the Heavy series, it inherits the high rigidity and performance. Its bending head moves horizontally while maintaining maximum rigidity during the processes. The high vertical stroke of the spar that holds the plane positioner and the extractor maximises the number of bending levels that can accomodate existing tools. The 114HE’s compact bending head can complete extremely complex tube geometries in one cycle, where they would normally require double-direction tube bending machines. The machine’s nine axes are driven by absolutely digital motors with “Full Electric” technology and controlled by Siemens SINUMERIK 840D sl. This technology guarantees high quality bending, energy savings, startup time reduction, and scrap minimisation. With the “Tangent Boost” device, the tube is pushed axially all the way into the slide/wiper-die area during bending, optimising the tube development and reducing scrap even further. The high production rate, the ability to produce bends with CLR/DIA ratio even lower than 0.8, and the ability to thrust bends with variable radii make this machine particularly suitable for the automotive, aeronautical, plant design and installation, urban decoration and naval sectors. The machine has a three-dimensional graphical software on a 19” LCD Touch screen. The operator communicate intuitively with the machine through the UII “User ISO Interface” software, to program, to simulate, and to optimise the bending programs. This machine is designed to be integrated into Smart Factory system. The CNC double blade cutting system and the single stack version are both available.
