Crippa 1055E
There is an Up&Down for your every need
Tube bending machines in the Up&Down series feature a double bending direction that makes it possible to use only one machine, without operator intervention, to complete tube geometries that usually require post processing operations. This provides considerable advantages for both productivity and precision. The movements of these tube bending machines can turn the tube in the space during the process, eliminating interference with the machine or with the geometry of the part being produced. The nine controlled axes that govern the movement of Up&Down are driven by absolute digital electric motors with Full Electric technology and controlled by a CNC Siemens 840D sl.
Description
The 1055E is the largest 20-kW model in the UP&DOWN series. It is fully automatic and capable of bending tubes with a diameter and a thickness of up to 55 mm and 2.5 mm, respectively. The machine’s feature is the head’s orthogonal movement. This machine can produce, in fully automatic cycle, tube geometries that would normally require postprocessing operations, consequently accelerating production rates and improving precision. The head moves into any of the tube’s lateral position (above, below, right and left) to resolve dimensional problems arising from the processed tube and the machine itself. This versatility allows the quick change of the working planes, the right and/or left bends, and the integration of the loading and unloading cycles. The clamp die and pressure die are synchronised, such that the upper and lower work planes open simultaneously. The 1055E is a multistack multiradius machine with a minimum of 6 working planes. Thanks to the high vertical travel, multiple tools with different radii and locks can be installed on the machine. The liner motion system uses lubrication-free linear guides and recirculating ball carriages that are more durable than the traditional guides. The high-load ball screws drive the clamp and pressure dies efficiently. The machine’s 10 axes are actuated by “Fully Electric” digital motors and controlled by Siemens SINUMERIK 840D sl to achieve high quality, to save energy, and to reduce set-up/startup time and scrap. Additional energy saving and efficiency improvement are attributed to the pneumatic balancing, which allows the use of a smaller yet more powerful motor. The high production rate, the availability for a vast range of accessories for specific jobs, the ability to bends tubes with a CLR/DIA ratio lower than 0.8 or thrust bends with a variable radius, the integrability into work cells make this machine particularly suitable for sectors where efficiency and productivity are the primary requirements. This model has three-dimensional graphical sofware on a 19” LCD Touch screen for the operator to interact intuitively with the machine. The UII (“User ISO Interface”) facilitates the programming, the simulation, and the optimisation of the bending process. The 1055E is designed to integrate into the Smart Factory system.
