Crippa 1020E
There is an Up&Down for your every need
Tube bending machines in the Up&Down series feature a double bending direction that makes it possible to use only one machine, without operator intervention, to complete tube geometries that usually require post processing operations. This provides considerable advantages for both productivity and precision. The movements of these tube bending machines can turn the tube in the space during the process, eliminating interference with the machine or with the geometry of the part being produced. The nine controlled axes that govern the movement of Up&Down are driven by absolute digital electric motors with Full Electric technology and controlled by a CNC Siemens 840D sl.
Description
The 1020E is the downsized model of the UP&DOWN series for tubes with a diameter and a thickness of up to 22 mm and 1.5 mm, respectively. 1020E’s installed power is 10 kW and the cycle is entirely automatic. The head’s orthogonal movement allows the selection of the work plane, the right or left bending direction in-cycle, and the integration of loading and unloading. The orthogonality enables the creation of the most complex tube geometries automatically—generally requiring post-processing—without the operator’s manual intervention. The clamp is synchronised with the pressure-die on the machine to open the upper and lower work planes simultaneously. Like other models in the UP&DOWN series, the 1020E supports multiple work planes. This guarantees a high vertical travel for multiple tools with different radii and clamping. All movements of the machine’s axes are on linear guide rails and recirculating ball carriages without lubrication, which last longer than traditional guides. In addition, the clamp- and pressure-die are controlled by high-load ball screws. The 1020E’s 10 axes are actuated by digital motors with Fully Electric technology and controlled by Siemens SINUMERIK 840D sl. Using this technology warrants high quality, energy savings, and minimum set-up/start up time and scraps. Energy savings and maximum efficiency are also guaranteed by the pneumatic balancing, which enables the installation of smaller yet more powerful motors. The high production rate, the availability for a vast range of accessories for specific and unusual jobs, the ability to produce bends with a CLR/DIA ratio of lower than 0.8, and the ability to thrust bends with variable radius make this machine suitable for sectors requiring high precision at high speed. Furthermore, this machine can integrate into work cells. This model is equipped with a three-dimensional graphical software on a 19” LCD touch screen for the operator to interact intuitively with the machine. The UII (User ISO Interface) facilitates programming, simulation, and optimisation of the bending programs. The 1020E is designed to integrate into the Smart Factory system.
